The story

Leopard is the retail face of Robertson and Caine, the Cape Town yard founded in 1991 by John Robertson and Jerry Caine. A partnership struck in the early 1990s with charter giant The Moorings gave the builder guaranteed volume and a merciless test bench: fleets logging thousands of tropical charter miles a year. The Leopard brand for private owners grew directly out of that programme, and the feedback loop still shapes every model.

Drawn for many years by Simonis Voogd Design, Leopards are engineered for the South Atlantic, which many hulls cross on their own bottoms during delivery. The range spans sailing catamarans from 40 to 53 feet and power cats, sold privately or into Moorings and Sunsail fleets. Owned today by travel group Travelopia, the yard has delivered well over two thousand boats.
