Prestige

French series builder applying sailboat-industry efficiency to flybridge and pod-drive motor yachts.

The story

Prestige appeared in 1989 as Jeanneau's motor-yacht line, drawn from the outset by Genoa's Garroni Design — a Franco-Italian pairing that endures. Built at Les Herbiers in Vendée, the boats applied the sailboat industry's series production and cost control to a flybridge market long ruled by pricier Italian and British yards.

Now a standalone brand of Groupe Beneteau, Prestige bet early on Volvo Penta's IPS pod drives, making joystick handling a democratising argument for couples running 50-footers without crew. The 2021 X-Line crossovers opened single-level living plans, and the M-Line power catamarans followed in 2022. Prestige is among Europe's volume leaders between 45 and 70 feet — the pragmatic choice in a segment where image often outruns use.
