Nautitech 44 Open

Marc Lombard's 44 Open is the sharpest expression yet of Nautitech's single-level philosophy. At under twelve tonnes light it is conspicuously lighter than the Lagoon and Fountaine Pajot equivalents, with fine bows, a low coachroof and modest freeboard that reduce windage where rivals stack it up. The Open layout removes the bulkhead ceremony: cockpit and saloon run together under one roof, the galley serving both, while twin aft helms keep the driving honest and the sail-handling within reach. It gives up interior volume — the hulls are genuinely narrow by class standards, and there is no flybridge — and its nacelle can slap in a short chop when pressed. In return owners get 200-mile days within reach, tiller-like feedback through cable steering, and a boat that tacks without the engine. For Atlantic circuits sailed rather than motored, it has become the pragmatic pick between mainstream volume and the performance elite.
