Outremer 45

The new-generation Outremer 45 renews the yard's entry model with the vocabulary VPLP already applied to the 52 and 55: slim hulls, daggerboards, a bowsprit-lengthened platform and a displacement kept near ten tonnes when rivals of the same length carry fifteen. The programme is explicit — a couple, a circumnavigation, trade-wind averages of 200 miles a day and the ability to outrun weather systems rather than endure them. Helm stations offer tiller options and proper sightlines, and the interior, warmer than earlier Outremers, still refuses the apartment aesthetic: payload is budgeted, lockers are engineered, every kilogram argued over. The price is the debate — comfortably above volume-brand equivalents and near seven figures before options — but Outremers historically return much of it at resale. Against the Excess 14 and Nautitech 44 Open it is the uncompromised reference; against its own 4X predecessor, a more habitable, more refined boat for the same intent.
